that is nylon-based. It is more durable, stain resistant, and won't shrink in the wash. Micro Fiber has a slight velvet feel to it.
Microsuede is usually a cotton/polly blend material and has a slightly more plush feel, but it's not as durable.

been around longer & people are more familiar with it, which is why it is more popular. Micro Fiber is still very soft & comfortable -
